Period Property Restoration Wiltshire

Period Property Restoration of Spye Park in Wiltshire

Restored to its former glory

At Heritage Restoration we specialise in the restoration of period properties, using our expertise and knowledge to work with traditional materials but using cutting-edge technology.

One of our largest projects has been the redevelopment of Spye Park in Wiltshire. Set within the grounds of a country estate, the original house, built in the 17th century and demolished in the 19th century, was subsequently rebuilt as a red brick mansion but destroyed by fire in the 1970s.

We were recently commissioned to recreate the original splendour of the Estate in a 21st century environment. Since the initial consultation, there have been many developments in the evolution of the project which have allowed us to call upon our many years of experience, knowledge and expertise:

  • installation of a brand-new estate infrastructure
  • conversion of a barn into a shooting lodge
  • conversion of a barn into the estate office
  • conversion of a barn into a gym/swimming pool complex
  • restoration of the stable block
  • restoration and conversion of garage courts
  • restoration of the game larder
  • restoration and refurbishment of tractor store
  • new timber-framed garage
  • construction of new roadways
  • dry stone and Devon bank walling
  • installation of geothermal ground source heat pump
  • installation of sixteenth century Italian fireplaces

We have a large team of specialist craftsmen and sub-contractors working on all aspects of this multi-faceted project to ensure that we recreate the environment as desired by our client.
